Who Keeps the Stoney Nakoda Weekender
The Kananaskis Weekender is kept by its own editorial team, the Weekender editors, and no individual name appears on its pages. It is an independent weekend guide to Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino, not the resort, a casino or a gaming operator.

The team behind the Weekender
The Weekender editors are this guide's own editorial team. They write, check and sign every page as a group, and no individual name appears anywhere. Their work stays practical. The editors read the website of Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino and hold the calculators to its published hours and rules. Anything the resort has not published is flagged, so you know where the guide stops.
No tie links them to the resort, its hotel or casino, the Stoney Nakoda Nation, AGLC or any gaming operator. They work for the guide alone. The guide itself takes no bets, keeps no cashier and opens no accounts.
Checking the facts
On October 13, 2026, the Weekender editors checked the guide's facts. The sources were the pages of Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino itself: home, about, casino, hotel, rooms, dining and house rules. They also read winnersedge.ca, AGLC's page on Host First Nation casinos and Alberta's help services. Some details are not published, among them the hotel check-in time and holiday hours. The guide says so where they matter, and the front desk can confirm check-in.
The calculators read only the resort's published hours and rules, plus the day and time you choose, on Mountain Time. Your answers stay on your own screen. There is nothing to fill in here: no form, no comment box, no account. Light or dark theme is the one thing the browser tab remembers.
Where the pictures come from
Photos and videos shot inside the hotel may not be used publicly or commercially, under the resort's house rules. For that reason, the guide shows nothing from inside the hotel or the casino. The main entrance, the hotel wing and the casino wing appear here as generated images, not photographs. Each one started from photographs of the grounds shot outside. Those were then redrawn from new angles, in another season and light.
The breakfast plate, the towels, the key card, the night sky over the foothills and the autumn aspens are generated scenes. None of them shows the resort.
How the guide pays its way
Three links labelled Ad, home page only, pay the guide's way. The menu holds one; blocks after the first screen and just before the end hold the others. Each leads to one online casino, which pays the guide a commission and can be replaced. It is neither Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino nor Play Alberta. Inner pages have none.
Writing to the editors
Letters for the guide go to [email protected]. Write with a correction, a fact that has changed, or a question about how the guide works. That address belongs to the guide, not to Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino. For bookings or questions about the hotel or casino, call the resort's main line at 403-881-2830.
